l do not support nor would l edify the burning of the Korean by Terry Jones, pastor of Dove World Outreach Church in Gainesville, Florida, such actions border on the lunatic fringe of Christianity - BUT - at the same time may l ask is there any book in the entire world that is worthy of being burnt to ashes other than the Koran - the answer to that is a definite NO!
The intention of the pastor is to burn large volumes of copies of the Korean on the anniversary of the September the 11th attacks on New York City - BUT - it is clear that the real purpose of the pastor in the burning of the Korean is not to protest against the September 11th attacks - but to instead use this pointless and ridiculous act as a direct protest against the building of a Mosque at the site of the September 11th attacks.
The Pastors way of thinking is that if the Moslems are going to treat us in the manner that they are by the building of the Mosque then l am going to treat them with the disdain they deserve.
Possibly, that is why he wants to hear from the Barak Obama so that if the president would agree to stop the building he would more than likely stop the burning.
I have never read, nor do l ever intend to read the Koran, so l cannot speak with any real authority as to its contents. However, what l have heard is that the Koran is nothing more than a revised and rewritten Old Testament designed by men (and not God) to convey the evil and violent religion that Islam is. Remember what it says right at the very end of the Bible ""anyone who adds to or takes away from the words of this book all of the plagues mentioned in this book will come upon them."" The words of the real God could not be clearer than this. We also need to look no further than the word of God once again and in particular the book of the Revelation to see and understand what Islam is all about and the spirit it operates under.
Revelation Chapter 9 Verses 9 to 11 refers to lslam and the violent religion that it is, while Verse 9 tells us that Moslems operate under the spirit of the bottomless pit - Apollyon.
Rev 9:7 And the shapes of the locusts [were] like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads [were] as it were crowns like gold, and their faces [were] as the faces of men.
Rev 9:8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as [the teeth] of lions.
Rev 9:9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings [was] as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.
Rev 9:10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power [was] to hurt men five months.
Rev 9:11 And they had a king over them, [which is] the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue [is] Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath [his] name Apollyon.
