EU has officially overcome recession - Herman Van Rompuy - so what does the future now hold?

The European Union is out of recession and that’s official: for that speaks positive dynamics of economic growth in the community for the last 11 months, says the European Council’s president Herman Van Rompuy. He also says there is now low level of inflation while trade budget is in balance.

At the same time, there are still too many disagreements in the eurozone on the economic growth, budget and balance, and it appears that the crisis is located in separate countries which commenced economic reforms. In that respect, it is necessary to ensure more convergence and coordination between member states because it will be up to them to assist their neighbours in overcoming financial troubles.

The EU president thinks that everything will be done to protect euro. Introduction of euro in Estonia from 1 January 2011 is quite encouraging. End of Quote

There really does not seem to be any doubts at all that the newly appointed president of the EU, Herman Van Rompuy, has succeeded way beyond the wildest expectations of those who had placed him into power at the beginning of 2010 as the first ever unelected full time president of the EU.

That took place after the victorious achievement by the EU of the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty in late 2009.

If the initial suggestion I had made is correct that the EU presidency was the power base of the Antichrist then that would also make the Bible correct when it said that whatever the Antichrist did he would be successful in?

The aforesaid news relating to Van Rompuy lifting the EU out of recession also plays well into the other prophecy of Daniel which says that in coming to power the Antichrist subdues three nations with those three nations of course being Ireland, Greece and Portugal.

The first two nations mentioned above were given bailout packages, while the measures that were taken relative to Portugal was not as severe, as she was only given minor assistance. But I still need to emphasise all of the three nations mentioned above were still subdued.

So that was year one for Van Rompuy, so then what is next?Remember the four horsemen of the apocalypse, the White Horse, the Red Horse, the Black Horse and the Pale Horse?

Even though there was a Climate Change treaty that was agreed upon in Cancun Mexico where there were so many who had suggested was really had taken place was the pretext for a World Government treaty (I agree) -- there is still really nothing at all to suggest that the Antichrist has began his ride on any of the horses mentioned above.

But that is not to suggest that the time he will begin to ride the first horse is extremely close at hand, as there seems to be very strong evidence to suggest that the time for the Antichrist to ride the White Horse is just so close it is almost within touching distance? Remember those who have been saying for so long the newly appointed EU president would confirm, or rubber stamp, a seven year treaty between Israel and Palestine?

That simply means that there would be others who would work out the treaty and the Antichrist would simply agree to what others had already worked out by signing a seven year peace treaty document. There are already several nations who are desirous of bringing Israel and Palestine into a the World Government treaty mentioned above by agreeing to give Palestine a separate state.

Effectively, what that now means is that there has been an unofficial treaty reached between Israel and Palestine and all that really needs to happen is for the Antichrist to rubber stamp the peace document mentioned above. Therefore, if that were to happen in the new year and if happened to be signed by Van Rompuy then there would be no doubts at all that what the world would be witnessing would be the covenant of the Antichrist mentioned in Daniel Chapter 9, Verse 27.

Stay tuned now and watch the Russian Middle East peace summit that is to take place in February 2011 to see if there are any developments in that direction! I think there maybe?

Unfortunately, there are alleged men of God who deliberately set out on a pathway to frighten people just so that they can make money.

Even though he has been gone a number of years now, there may be some out there who are going to remember the late and great Barry R Smith.

Even though I was never ever privileged to have known him personally, I had the occasion to go to one or two of his meetings when he came to the area.

I have read the whole of the series of his books and have watched a fair portion of his DVDs. That being the substance of the matter, therefore, one could say I had quite a good understanding of just where he was coming from relative to the end times as he revealed the keys to eternal salvation at the same time?

There was a time when he had mentioned in one of his DVDs when he had been offered the opportunity to sell end times food with the prospect being that if were able to do that there would be a very strong possibility that he would come out of doing so a self made millionaire.

The idea was that he was simply to carry on as he was preaching about the end times and there at the end of his meetings there would be someone at the door ready to sell those who came out of BS meetings the aforementioned end times emergency food.

The idea was that as there always was a message of doom and gloom, or the end of the current system as we know it on this day, the idea was that there would be those who were sufficiently frightened they would then buy his end times food.

He later on went to reject this idea, but there are still those out there who did not and are using their own messages of doom and gloom to frighten people so that may profiteer out of the process by selling those they sufficiently frighten enough products they claim are going to assist the purchasers when the crunch time really comes and the final seven years here on the earth begins.

Even though I still believe it is not really being a Christian to go and talk about someone behind their backs, there are still a couple of very well names that are coming to mind who are doing this type of thing. TM of the power of prophecy website and author of several books and DVDs readily comes to mind, just as AJ of the info wars website name also does.

Both of these men are becoming extremely wealthy by fleecing the unsuspecting of their hard earned cash.

AF of the free press online is just another one that readily comes to mind. Even though he is not directly selling end times food what he is doing is frightening those who come to his website with visions of a Greater Depression in 2011. At the same time he has an advertisement on his website for GOLD which seems to suggesting that if what he had predicated in 2011 were ever to come to pass then gold would be the safest investment to give the greatest return for those who had chosen to invest in it as a hedge fund against further financial collapse if that were ever to come to pass in the forthcoming year?

However the facts of the matter are completely different, as there could be nothing which is further from the truth.

Even though there are very clear indicators within the Holy Scriptures that says there will be an economic collapse sooner or later, there is still nothing whatsoever within the Bible that says it is going to be in 2011.

Also, within the scriptures there are several verses that says that that GOLD is not an infallible investment at all. In fact, the Bible says that Gold is going to be cankered and that it is going to be worth absolutely nothing at all.

I would assume there are more around the place than those two men mentioned above who are frightening those who will listen, and then as a consequence trying to make money out of doing so. These are only a couple that I am able to think of, but there are still more than likely numerous others of whom I do not even know about.

So even though it may be alright to set out on a deliberate pathway to alarm and frighten in the vain hope that by doing so it is going to lead some to eternal life, there is a direct difference between doing so to try and lead others to eternal life -- and deliberately setting out on a pathway to try and frighten people just to profiteer out of doing so.

Religious leaders urge end to persecution

The Pope delivers his annual Christmas Day blessing from the central balcony of St Peter's Basilica at the Vatican. (see the insert)
THE Pope led pleas by religious leaders for peace in the Middle East and an end to persecution in Iraq.

But as the Pope addressed huge crowds at the Vatican, violence against Christians marred the Christmas holiday.

Record crowds flocked to Bethlehem, and hundreds defied al-Qa'ida threats to pack Our Lady of Salvation cathedral in Baghdad for Christmas mass.

But seven explosions hit Jos in central Nigeria, killing 32 people and injured 74 late on Christmas Eve. In Maiduguri, in northern Nigeria, suspected members of an Islamist sect attacked three churches, burning one down and killing six people.

A bomb rocked a church on Jolo Island in The Philippines during Christmas mass, wounding six. The island is a bastion of Abu Sayyaf, a group linked to al-Qa'ida.

"May the love of God with us grant perseverance to all those Christian communities enduring discrimination and persecution, and inspire political and religious leaders to be committed to full respect for the religious freedom of all," the Pope said in his Christmas Day message at the Vatican
.
"May the comforting message of the coming of Emmanuel ease the pain and bring consolation amid their trials to the beloved Christian communities in Iraq and throughout the Middle East."

Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams also urged people to remember those facing persecution because of their Christian faith. "We may feel powerless to help; yet we should also know that people in such circumstances are strengthened simply by knowing they have not been forgotten," he said.

Christmas cheer was sorely tested in parts of Europe, where thousands of travellers were forced to spend the night in trains, barracks, ferries and airports as transport froze to a halt.

Weather also made life difficult for travellers in the US as airlines cancelled hundreds of flights. Parts of the south enjoyed a rare white Christmas, with snow in Nashville, Tennessee, and northern Alabama. Snow blanketed whole sections of the midwest, and a storm was predicted to bring more than 12.5cm of snow to the Washington DC region today.

US President Barack Obama made a surprise Christmas visit to a marine base to thank US troops for the sacrifices they had made.

He and his wife, Michelle, shook hands and hugged service members who had arrived for Christmas dinner at the mess hall at Marine Corps Base Hawaii.

"Let's all remind (troops) this holiday season that we're thinking of them, and that America will forever be here for them, just as they've been there for us," t Mr Obama said in his holiday message. After dining with his family on steak, roasted potatoes, green beans and pie, the sport-obsessed President watched some NBA basketball.

Sport was also the unexpected focus of the Queen's Christmas Day message. Nineteen months before the London Olympics, the Queen pointed to October's Commonwealth Games as an example of how sport unites people.

The Queen celebrated Christmas with her family at Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, and about 1000 people turned up on a frosty Christmas morning to see the royals as they went to church.

But they were denied a glimpse of Prince William and his fiancee, Kate Middleton.

William, who is a Royal Air Force search and rescue pilot, was on call in Wales, while Ms Middleton was with her family.

U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon admits the Climate Change Treaty recently agreed upon in Mexico will be enforced by Global Government

United Nations General Secretary is publicly admitting that the worldwide climate change treaty recently agreed upon in Cancun Mexico will be enforced by global government.

Up until now, many have dismissed reports that the treaty recently agreed upon in Cancun would represent a giant step towards world government.

However, when the head of the United Nations tells an interviewer for the Los Angeles Times that "we will establish a global governance structure to monitor and manage the implementation of this", what are we all supposed to think?

In fact, a former official in the Thatcher administration, Lord Christopher Monckton, has seen a draft of the treaty being discussed and he says that it creates 700 new bureaucracies which will implement and enforce the provisions of the climate change treaty.

These bureaucracies will have power to enforce the new world environmental laws that supersedes the authority of national governments around the world.

However, as history tells us a formal treaty was not signed in Copenhagen. Nevertheless, Ban Ki-Moon now tells us that a "binding political deal" was signed in Mexico.

So what is the difference between a "treaty" and a "binding political deal"?
That is a good question! Ban Ki-Moon put it this way during his interview with the Los Angeles Times; we need to have a very strong, robust, binding political deal that will have an immediate operational effect.

This is not going to be a political declaration, just for the sake of declaration. It is going to be a binding political deal, which will lead to a legally binding treaty already agreed upon this year.

What most people do not realize is that the treaty being discussed in Cancun and already agreed upon recently will institute new world taxes which would transfer wealth from "rich nations" as payment for the "carbon debt" that we have accumulated.

Ban Ki-Moon also commented on this during his interview with the L.A. Times....Developed countries have political and moral responsibilities, therefore they have to do more, first of all by coming out with ambitious targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and they should be prepared to provide financial support.

We have pretty good agreement on short-term, fast-track financial support in the order of $10 billion for the coming three years. When we now have agreement on a politically binding agreement, that will have immediate operational effect, including financial support from next year.

This financial support will reportedly be ongoing for the life of the treaty.

So when will the treaty end and can the United States ever get out of it?
Well, reports from those who have seen the draft treaty indicate that the only way a nation can leave the treaty is if every single other nation agrees.

Now, if "developing nations" are receiving large payments from the United States every single year, how likely do you think it is for every single one of them to vote to allow the U.S. to leave the treaty?

The truth is that the treaty is structured so that the United States would be committed to it forever. According to the draft treaty being considered, no future president or Congress would be able to do anything to get the United States out of the treaty.

The only way to get out of it would be a unanimous vote from every single one of the other nations. This is the kind of deal that Barack Obama has locked the United States into.

What a nightmare.

Benjamin Ben-Eliezer warns of fallout over stalled Middle East peace talks

Turks wave a giant Palestinian flag yesterday during the arrival in Istanbul's port of the Mavi Marmara, one of the flotilla of aid ships raided in May. (see insert)THE US may throw its weight behind growing support for a unilateral Palestinian declaration of statehood if Israel does not resume Middle East peace talks, an Israeli minister has warned.

In the first admission by a senior Israeli official that a rift with its key ally threatened a shift in US policy, Benjamin Ben-Eliezer, the Trade and Industry Minister, urged the resumption of talks with the Palestinians - even if it meant bowing to their demands for a renewed freeze on settlement construction in the West Bank.

"We must do everything possible to get to dialogue with the Palestinians, even if it costs us a settlement freeze for a few months," Mr Ben-Eliezer, a doyen of the Labour Party, the junior partner in the governing coalition, told a Cabinet meeting in Jerusalem.

"I wouldn't be surprised if within one year the whole world supports a Palestinian state, including the United States. Then we'll ask where we were and what we were doing."

In recent weeks, four Latin American states, led by Brazil, have officially recognised a Palestinian state inside the borders which were in place before the 1967 Six Day war, during which Israel took control of the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem. Some European nations have upgraded diplomatic relations with the Palestinians.

Later this year, Salam Fayyad, the Palestinian Prime Minister, is expected to complete his two-year plan of building a de facto state inside the West Bank, although Gaza remains under Hamas control.

The Palestinian leadership walked out of peace talks revived by the US three months ago in anger at Israel's refusal to extend a halt on building in the communities, which are viewed as illegal by the international community. The Palestinians have said that if there is no renewed negotiation effort they will go to the UN Security Council with a unilateral declaration of statehood.

Since the collapse of the peace talks and Israel's refusal to renew the settlement building moratorium, settlers have laid foundations for hundreds of new homes, according to the Israeli anti-settlement group Peace Now. The Palestinians have responded by preparing a UN draft resolution condemning the settlements, which in the West Bank are home to 300,000 Israelis, with 200,000 living in East Jerusalem.

Israeli diplomats have been rushing to ascertain the possible response of key countries to such a resolution amid fears that President Obama, having been thwarted in his peace efforts, might concentrate on other regions for the remaining two years of his term. So far Washington has said that it would not back the anti-settlement resolution, but other countries which have become increasingly frustrated by the deadlock in talks and the continued rate of settlement expansion - Britain among them - may offer some support.

Mr Ben-Eliezer's warning is also likely to increase tensions in the Israeli coalition as Binyamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister, strives to satisfy hardliners and pro-talks factions.

Amid the political tensions there were fresh clashes in and around Gaza on the eve of the second anniversary of the Israeli offensive to smash Hamas and stop militants firing rockets into southern Israel, an operation dubbed Cast Lead by the Israeli Army.

With both sides talking up the chances of another war in the south, Israeli tanks and helicopter gunships opened fire on Islamic Jihad members who were trying to plant bombs close to the Israeli-controlled border fence with Gaza, killing two people. More rockets were fired out of the Gaza Strip into Israel, despite some of the heaviest air strikes since the 2008 month-long war by Israeli forces last week.

The increased rocket fire has ramped up tensions, especially after Israel admitted that one of its tanks had been hit by an advanced, Russian-made anti-tank missile that had been smuggled into the besieged strip by Hamas.

"I hope there is no need for another operation like Cast Lead," the Israeli Deputy Prime Minister, Silvan Shalom, said. "But if this situation continues then obviously we will have to respond and respond with all our force."

Abu Obeidah, a Hamas military spokesman, said his forces were also ready for another bout of bloodletting. "If there is any Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip we will respond strongly," he said. "We are completely ready to answer any Israeli aggression."

In a possible reference to the Kornet anti-tank missiles deployed recently, he added: "Our weapons are few compared to those of the Israeli occupation, but we have something that will worry the occupation."

European political integration still an elusive dream

by Wang Cong
BRUSSELS, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- One year after the Lisbon Treaty entered into force, the prospect of a politically united Europe remains just as dim.

The treaty, which came after eight years of horse-trading, was aimed to streamline the 27-nation bloc's institutions, and to win Europe as a whole a greater role on the world stage.

For one thing, Herman Van Rompuy, who was appointed as president of the European Council, silenced doubts over his capacity to represent the EU's interests in the world with efficient coordination between EU governments.

But by contrast, EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton and her newly founded European External Action Service (EEAS) have yet to gain more credibility.

The EEAS, officially launched on Dec. 1, exactly one year after the Lisbon Treaty came into force, is aimed at giving the European bloc a single, unified voice in the world.

However, resistance by Euro-skeptic Britain and the reluctance of many nations to share more sovereignty prevented the EU from moving toward further political integration.

The task was also complicated by the debt crisis that many feared was contagious in the euro zone. The crisis promoted national approaches rather than European ones, thus marginalizing Europe's political integration, as national interests prevailed over those of the EU in decision-making despite the one-year-old Lisbon Treaty.

In a typical example, German Chancellor Angela Merkel was reported to have held off on important reforms, including measures to help bail out Greece, for two months to avoid endangering elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in May, thus leading to the deepening of the

Greek debt crisis. Ironically, the postponement failed to bring needed help to her government in the North Rhine-Westphalia elections anyway.

Meanwhile, within the British government, the voice of Euro-skeptics is often louder than that of Euro-optimists, and even Prime Minister David Cameron himself has repeatedly criticized Europe. In addition, Euro-scepticism has already become an important trend in the governments of the

Czech Republic, Poland, and other East European countries.
Since the Treaty of Rome was signed in 1957, political integration in Europe has never come easy.
I

n 1992, Denmark said no to the Maastricht Treaty, and, in 2005, France and the Netherlands rejected the EU constitution.

The current Lisbon Treaty was largely rejected by Ireland in 2008, and was only adopted in the following year when a second referendum was organized.

"Political integration is a complex and sensitive topic, because it involves nations giving up or sharing their valued sovereign powers," said Prof. Wu Xian with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

"That is why the EU had decided to take a more indirect approach -- to build economic unity first to pave the way for political integration," Wu said.

The introduction of the single currency euro, the EU's most prized project, in 11 countries in 1999 marked a big step forward in European integration, which is in essence a gradual transfer of national sovereignty to the EU.

However, nations grew more jittery about their reserved and more valued sovereign powers as the integration went deeper.

The integration fatigue resulted in the structural flaw of the euro since European countries at that time simply wanted to exploit the benefits of the single currency, but were not ready to give up their national powers over public finances.

Nevertheless, the debt crisis might also mean opportunities for European integration.

At this year's last European Council summit on Dec. 16-17, European leaders agreed to revise the Lisbon Treaty to make room for a permanent rescue mechanism for countries that got into debt trouble.

The mechanism might strengthen the EU's power and rein in member states' financial policies, paving the way for European integration in the future.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL

There are real concerns that Christmas in Australia has now become a time of merriment and festivity an and excuse for a holiday, a time of gift giving, and general get together of family, rather than for the remembrance of the birth of the saviour the Lord Jesus Christ.

Santa, as in Santa Clause (pictured) is an anogram of Satan.

I work the nightshift and there are occasions when I listen to late night radio and even those who are broadcasting over the late night air waves are saying this is a Christian country.

Nevertheless, when there is never ever a word that is said about Christ, or indeed the birth of Christ, there is never ever nothing that comes out of the mouths of these same announcers that seems to edify the fact that they are Christians themselves.

Afterwards, those said same announcers readily denigrate this current government for opening the borders of this nation by allowing the boat people to continually arrive here illegally.

There has also been times that I have mentioned the Lord Jesus Christ in whilst employed in the occupation I am at the moment.

It seems to me that even though there are those that are saying this is a Christian nation when there is nothing whatsoever that seems to edify that fact at all.

Except for a very small group of those that one could say are quite readily able to be identified as being truly Christian, the preponderance of those who are truly Christian in this nation is very small. The facts of the matter are that there is hardly anyone at all that I ever come into contact with in my day to day dealings with the general public that could fit into that category.

Those are the very sad facts of the matter.

If the nation rejects or forgets about the Lord, then it would also come as no real surprise that what is happening to this once proud and great nation has been allowed to happen.

What we are seeing in the destruction of Australia has nothing whatsoever to do with the state of the politics, but has everything to do with the spiritual state of the nation which seems to be nothing more than pagan at the moment?

There is nothing whatsoever that is ever going to stop the ultimate form of destruction that this once great nation is headed for as the people continually reject the saviour as the preponderance of the populace are doing.

Does the current Russian Prime Minister fit the Biblical description of being the Beast of Revealtion?

There are no real doubts at all that the world can hear the footsteps of the Antichrist rapidly approaching.

Over the number of years that I have been watching the fulfilment of the Bible prophecies come to pass there have been quite a number of world leaders of whom I could have considered to be suitable suspects to fulfil that role.

The Bible does not really describe the Antichrist as being a strong man. However, I had happened to come across a website the other day were the author of the aforementioned site seemed to suggest that there may be such a man, (somewhere in the world) waiting to come to the fore who may well fulfil the description of the way that particular author of several books on the end times had described the Antichrist. That is, as a strong man who would rule with a fist or iron.

There are really not a great number of world leaders whom I could think of at the moment that could fit that description except for one - the current Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin.

It seems that the only reason that he is still not the current Russian President is due to constitutional restraints that have been put on him so that he was not allowed to carry on it that role for more than a prescribed period of time. However, as he had exceeded those time restraints he was simply reduced to the role of the Russian Prime Minister to be replaced with the current president, Dmitry Medvedev.

Nevertheless, he is still there in the background still playing a very prominent role in the politics of Russia.

There are even those who describe the current Russian President Medvedev as being indecisive or weak, and that it is Putin who is still really in charge of Russia.

There is no way that I am suggesting that Putin is the one that we need to concentrate on when trying to correctly trying to identify the Antichrist, but that there was still a time that I had suspected him as being the man of sin. There were reasons, to numerous to mention here, as to why I had suggested this may be the case

That being said, there are still those who for whatever reason seem to believe the Antichrist will arise from Eastern Europe, or Russia.

There was even a period of time that I had performed the Barry R Smith, A=6, B=12 test on Putin to try and determine if he fitted into his name fitted into the sum total of the equation that equalled 666. The idea is to go through the entire alphabet and then take the individual letters of a particular person's name to see if the letters added up to 666. Strangely enough, in the case of Putin the letters of his name did add up to 666.

The end times author that I had made mention of forehand also said that he held the belief the Final World Empire before the return back onto the earth of the Lord Jesus Christ was to be the common market, or the European Union as it commonly as on this day.

However, there still needs to be some consideration for the fact that we are told in Revelation Chapter 13 that the Beast had the feet of a bear. The bear in prophecy always refers to Russia.

Therefore, as there is very clear mention there in the prophecy of Russia, and a of course a Russian, there is also a likelihood that the man of sin may be a Russian, even if that likelihood remains ever so slim at the moment.

The current head of the EU Herman Van Rompuy still remains the person of whom I would consider to be the most likely to be the Antichrist. With there being very clear indicators in the book of the Revelation that the Antichrist is the unelected president of the EU, I make that statement if for no other reason than for the fact of Van Rompuy recently being appointed to that role.

It also needs to be noted, that if there were ever to come a time when there was more to the Russian Prime Minister than what currently meets the eye, and for whatever reason there happened to be a combination of the combined powers of the EU and Russia, then there would also be no doubts at all that what we would be seeing coming to the fore would be the mightiest super power that has ever came to realization on the face of the earth. If as a result of this combination of super powers we were ever to see Putin appointed to lead this massive empire then there may also be a very strong possibility the current Russian President, Dmitry Medvedev, would be his False Prophet.

Even as I write this piece, there are meetings that are taking place on a regular basis between the EU and Russia. From what I am able to gather relative to these meetings what appears to be going on is nothing more than a constant power play between the respective leaders of these two super powers. Nevertheless, who is going to come out as the winner of all of this and proves to be the Biblical Antichrist still remains something that is open to a great deal of conjecture?

Therefore, the facts of the matter still remain there is really nothing, or very little, at all that can be determined relative to the Bible prophecies until we see the fulfilment of the prophecies of Daniel Chapter 9, Verse 27, and until that happens the suggestion that I have made mention of above that Putin maybe the Antichrist can be considered to be nothing more than pure speculation at this stage

Daniel Chapter 9, Verse 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate
For the time being of course, or until there is a lot more information relative to the end times that is revealedk there is really nothing at all that I have to go on other than what I have made mention of above. It will only be up until then that we will then when we will have a clearer picture of who to look for when trying to correctly identifying the Antichrist.

Cancun, Mexico a real success - in more ways than one

CANCÚN, MEXICO—There is no doubt that the United Nations climate-change negotiations here, which concluded just over a week ago, were very different from what was experienced at the Copenhagen summit last year. Journalists came to Cancun knowing that expectations for the talks were low and that there was no chance of an Earth-shattering deal, which would “save the climate.”

Take the scene outside the Azteca Centre in the Moon Palace resort, where the talks - aimed at striking an international agreement to reduce heat-trapping greenhouse-gas emission - were taking place. That’s where I met James Painter, author of a recent Oxford University study criticizing coverage of the Copenhagen meeting, to discuss the media happenings in Cancun and what reporters who cover climate change should be doing it if they want to keep audiences interested in the story.

We sat on a couple of plastic chairs on an uneven grass slope because they were the only ones we could find without having to look too hard. The lawn was full of people sitting in the sun, chatting, and apparently enjoying themselves. This isn’t something anyone would have seen in Copenhagen. The freezing temperatures in Denmark had something to do with that, of course, but it was also the atmosphere at last year’s summit. Tense with the expectation that a significant treaty might actually be achieved, journalists had to constantly be on the ball if they didn’t want to miss anything. I was there, and few journalists indulged in the moments of leisure that seemed common in Cancun.

Painter has also noticed the more relaxed air and thinks it has given journalists the chance to report on a wider variety of topics than the conference itself. He said a cursory look at some of the press coverage shows that a number of stories were written about topics such as the city of Cancun’s vulnerability to climate change, a World Bank report on how cities can benefit from moving to low carbon development, a World Meteorological Organization report on 2010 possibly being the hottest year on record, and a United Nations Environment Programme report on glaciers.

“My impression was that the press conferences and side events, where these initiatives or reports were launched, were much better attended than in Copenhagen,” Painter said.Painter thinks the move away from focusing exclusively on the negotiations is a positive development for three reasons: 1) the variety of reporting 2) more context about why climate change is an important issue 3) stories about topics like low carbon initiatives offer a more positive frame than the ‘doom and gloom’ associated with the negotiations.

“The atmosphere is relaxed; the stakes are much lower [here],” Painter said. “It’s not a make or break deal, they can all meet again in South Africa next year. There’s a very different feel to it. I get the impression, although I may be wrong - we’d have to do a content analysis - that there isn’t that sort of follow-the-pack feeling, where journalists feel they have to know exactly what’s going on with all the negotiations. I get the impression—and it’s very much an impression—that there’s been more opportunity to cover other topics than just the negotiations here. There’ve been an awful lot of interesting reports coming out a lot of side events on all sorts of different aspects. Quite interesting looking at the kind of stories that people are doing, not always portraying climate change as this great catastrophe and doom and gloom but portraying it as a great opportunity for business, green energy and job creation.”

Preliminary figures provided by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (which organizes the summits) show that about 2,000 journalists attended the talks in Cancun, Painter said. That’s about a 50 percent drop from Copenhagen, which drew about 4,000 journalists attended, according to his report for the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at Oxford, Summoned by Science, Reporting Climate Science at Copenhagen and Beyond. In particular, Painter said, Cancun saw a sharp decline in the number of journalists from western countries, although more reporters from Latin America attended the summit.

One of the key findings of the Oxford study was that less than 10 percent of the news dispatches from Copenhagen focused on climate science. The failure to place the negotiations in the context of current scientific understanding was a major shortcoming of the coverage, according to Painter.

“The balance was probably too much in favor of all the drama,” he said, “which is what journalism is attracted to, rather than the other aim of journalism—in part anyway—which is to inform and educate and make sure that people have enough context.”

Painter still believes that placing the UN climate summits in scientific context is important, although research would need to be done to determine whether or not the reporting from Cancun was any more focused on climate science than it was in Copenhagen.

“Most surveys show that most countries - including the U.S. and the U.K. - either people don’t have great scientific literacy about climate change,” he said. “Something like 40 percent of Americans can’t even say what a fossil fuel is and, in the U.K., people are very confused about where there is consensus about the science and where there isn’t. So there is an argument for trying to make sure that you put enough in your article to understand the science.”

Nonetheless, Painter said that one of the positive developments in Cancun was a move away from frightening coverage painting a picture of the world being devastated by climate change. Instead, he saw more stories on the opportunities that dealing with climate change can create.

If what I have been saying relative to Climate Change treaty is any indicator of what is right around the corner and it does lead to the treaty of Daniel Chapter 9, Verse 27, then there can be no real doubts at all that 2011 is going to be a year to remember in more ways than one, (if you know what I mean) as the world heads very quickly towards the birth pangs of the final seven years of mankind's history here on the earth.

After all, the initial treaty has already been confirmed all that really needs to happen now is for a couple more of a similar types of the treaty that has already been confirmed, and then the world will be well into the end times. However, no real idea that has emerged Cancun, Mexico Climate Change summit as to the correct identity of the Antichrist, but that is not to say that his identity may be known within a very short period of time, as if we did not know who he was already, hint, hint.

What is happening to the worlds weather - the answer may lie in the Bible prophecies?

There seems to be something out of the ordinary going on with the worlds weather conditions at the moment. When I make that statement I am not just referring to Britain and Europe and the mini ice age they are experiencing over there, but the whole of the worlds weather.

Even over here in Australia there are no doubts at all that the weather is not acting in the manner it usually does for this time of the year. Instead of the usual fine and sunny days we normally experience for this time of the year, Australia has had continuous rain for a number of weeks now.

It seems to me that there may be some sort of correlation between the recent agreement on climate change in Cancun, Mexico and what is happening with the worlds weather? It also seems to me that the worlds weather really began to play up, (if that is the correct terminology to use) at around about the same time as this Climate Change treaty was agreed upon in Cancun, Mexico?

For those of us that have any understanding at all relative to the fulfilment of the Bible prophecies we know that after the treaty of Daniel has been confirmed the world enters into the final birth pangs of mankind's history here on the earth -- as the final seven years of mankind's history here on the earth begins.

At this stage, I am not inferring that what has happened over in Mexico has any relevance at all to the seven year covenant of the Antichrist, the treaty of Daniel Chapter 9, Verse 27. (not yet anyway)

Daniel 9:27 (King James Version)
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

[Special Note: relative to the agreement on Climate Change and the insinuation that I mentioned above that it may be the beginnings of covenant of Daniel, the portion of the verse in Daniel relating to sacrifices and oblation may not refer to animal sacrifices. Instead, that portion of the verses may refer to sacrifices the nations are making with their carbon taxes as the money is syphoned off to go towards a World Government.]

As long as I am able to remember there has been so many that have been saying the treaty of Daniel was to be an agreement between Israel and Palestine.

Still, there have been so many others that have been saying that the many mentioned in the prophecy inferred that the treaty of Daniel was to be a covenant with not just Israel and Palestine -- but the whole world.

It is more than interesting that Mexico has been the only nation thus far to recognize Palestine as being a separate state apart from Israel with a few other nations in the same area also taking the lead and are accepting Palestine as being a state that is entirely detached from Israel.

Investors in Brazilian property may be interested to hear that those who are paying attention to see if the covenant of Daniel is to be confirmed shortly, would be fascinated to know that Brazil's growing prominence on the world stage could help with the Middle East peace process. It also needs to be noted that at this stage the world's richest man is also a Brazilian.

Former US president Jimmy Carter told Brazilian newspaper Folha de S Paulo that he is pleased that the South American country has recognised the Palestinian state, as it is an important step towards contributing to stabilised relations in the region.

Mr Carter added: "[Brazil] can help because it has a lot of influence among developing countries. Brazil can be one of the leaders in this process."

After Brazil's confirmation that it recognised the "state of Palestine" with its 1967-defined borders, Latin American neighbour Argentina also pledged its acceptance of the country and Uruguay announced its intention to recognise the state next year.

Outgoing president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has been credited with bolstering Brazil's role in world politics throughout his term as leader and has subsequently received a number of awards from countries and organisations around the globe.

I do not ever recall when I saw anyone confirm the treaty that was agreed upon in Mexico.

However, there are yet other treaties that will soon follow what has taken place in Mexico, and if the world were ever to see the confirmation of a seven year treaty on Climate Change then there is a very real possibility that what the world would be witnessing would be the confirmation of the treaty of Daniel Chapter 9, Verse 27.

The coming money crash, world government and the Mark of The Beast. How Bible prophecy is coming true before the world’s unseeing eyes.

The world is rushing towards a one-world currency and one world government. The Mark of The Beast, 666, and a world dictatorship are surely just a year or two away (Revelation 13:16;18) - I can almost hear the approaching footsteps of Antichrist. Unfortunately, true Christians will not be taken out of the world in the rapture before he takes power, as there is nothing whatsoever in the Bible that says anything about a rapture, but I suspect he has already taken control of the EU as their first ever full time president, and he is Herman Van Rompuy. The world is broke, hopeless, leaderless and frightened. Just watch and wait for the clamour of a man who will take the bull by the horns just as Van Rompuy is doing at the moment.

The last time a powerful nation printed money and its people became desperate with their piles of worthless banknotes, the world got Adolf Hitler. He was a mere shadow of the man to come, a type of Antichrist, as were a succession of evil tyrants from Antiochus Epiphanes onwards.

If you read Matthew 24, for example, you will see that conditions today are exactly what was predicted for the earth immediately prior to the Second Advent of the Lord Jesus Christ. The world needs a saviour but it’s running out of time. The Lord returns at midnight- and it’s 11.59. Churches need to wake up: as our friend Dave Reagan says, at such a time the church should be yearning for the Lord’s return. Instead, it is mostly yawning.

The Big Green Lie Machine, as I call it, is just one of the devices being used by those promoting a one-world government from within their towers of power. Any old nonsense will do, whether it’s the ridiculous idea that carbon is somehow harmful (it’s what plants eat, remember?) to the lie that rising sea levels will engulf whole island nations. Utter rubbish, as we have said many times on our website.

Just key the words into our search engine to find out some true facts. For example, contrary to green propaganda, polar bears are not only not in danger of extinction, they are having a population explosion, something we got from a Canadian news report recently. While this scare is false and the world is NOT getting hotter, it will one day, but that will be nothing to do with driving 4 X4 s. For the Bible tells us in many prophecies that we face wars, famine and the death of the major part of the world’s population.

The four horsemen of the apocalypse are soon riding out and there will be famine, earthquakes and many other calamities. A chart of the rising rate of earthquakes - the birth pangs of the earth as it awaits the Second Advent - is on our website. The world’s last great crisis, the culmination of man’s misrule of the world, lies just ahead. World crisis, real or fabricated, needs a one-world response, or so we are increasingly told.

The financial crisis is real enough and everything from cities to states to nations are bankrupt: broke, bust, caput. The game is over, despite whistlers-in-the-wind prattling on television about the “recovery.” Folks, there will be no recovery. Since 2006 I have been predicting The Greater Depression. I would love to be wrong, but I am not. We published a business newspaper for 16 years and I can read balance sheets. The world has an inbalance sheet…..

I start every day by taping an hour or two of CNBC and other business news channels, then watch them at high speed over breakfast. These days the talk is all of the “sovereign debt crisis.” Arrays of “experts” opine on the status of near bankrupt nations, not just Greece and Ireland but Spain, Italy and others. Britain and America, for example!

It’s said that soon a major American city will declare to the world that it is broke. What do you think that will do to the USA’s credit ratings, already cited for a downgrade? And in turn, what do you think that will do to interest rates? Then, what do you think rocketing rates and hyper-inflation will do to an already feeble economy? Oh dear: recovery? Buy gold is my advice. The Dollar, the Euro and all other paper currencies are fast being debased. Once people cease to believe they are worth anything, then they become worthless. In Zimbabwe they have 50 billion Dollar bills. They blow, uncollected, around rubbish dumps.

Even secular organizations like AOL can sense the approaching end game. Here’s one of their recent headlines and the opening paragraphs of a story on their Daily Finance website: “Is the World Ready for a New Reserve Currency? Meet the Mondo

“As the G-20 meets to discuss the world's economic problems -- with many of its members unhappy about the Federal Reserve's efforts to stimulate the U.S. economy by boosting its money supply (aka printing money – AF) -- ideas are floating around about new monetary systems. For a host of reasons, leaders of other countries would love to free their economies from the stranglehold of the U.S. dollar's influence.

“World Bank President Robert Zoellick recently called for the world to index its currencies to gold. In his proposed system, major currencies in the world such as the dollar, the euro, the yen, the pound and the yuan would move towards adopting a modified gold standard. The precious metal would be used as a reference point that would guide currency movements based on market
expectations of inflation, deflation and future currency values.”

Writer Peter Cohan goes on to promote the one-world currency, something Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is keen on. I have a picture of Medvedev at a G8 summit press conference, holding up the prototype of the one-world coin. On it are the words: “United Future World Currency.” The coin- and the die- have been cast. Here’s what Cohan writes: “The gold standard aside, I'd like to see the world adopt a new reserve currency to supplant the dollar: Call it the Mondo (from the Italian word for world). This new currency would be based on each country's contribution to global GDP. Thus, the more important a country's economy, the bigger that country's influence on the Mondo's value.

“In concept, it's fairly simple. The world's GDP is $61 trillion, according to the World Bank, and the Mondo would be based on a weighted basket of securities from each country in proportion to their share of global GDP. The beauty of the Mondo is that it would allow the world's economy to turn on the basis of changes in the policies of individual national economies in proportion to their real contribution in the global marketplace.”

So, with the crash of fiat currencies –backed by nothing but a promise - fast approaching, gold will soon be the last man standing, as it has been for centuries. Safeguarding some savings by buying some gold if you can (and you can do so with a few hundred Dollars) is one of my practical suggestions, together with getting hold of some seeds and learning how to grow vegetables. (Live in an apartment? Then make friends with an old person with a big plot of land round their home).

But the reality is, that the world’s main problem is spiritual. Society’s malaise starts with the churches, where something rotten lurks in the pulpits and power centres. Any nation’s decline starts with decadence, false religion and rot from within, something you can see over and over again. Britain and America are truly decaying from within, perfectly illustrated in one of my talks with a picture of a twisted steeple on an Anglican church. They’ve twisted scripture all right- or all wrong!

Is there hope? Fortunately for Christians, we have The Blessed Hope, our Lord Jesus Christ, who will soon be ruling and reigning from Jerusalem for a 1000 years- the true meaning of the word Millennium. If we’re not right with Him then you have little time to decide whether you are for light or darkness. Attending “church” doesn’t cut it. Real Christians ARE the church – it’s not a building. You need to commit your life to the Lord while there is still time.

My dear old friend, the late end times preacher Barry Smith from New Zealand, who taught us so much, told this true story. He gave one of his wonderful talks, then made an altar call. A lady stepped forward to accept Jesus into her life. Half an hour later, on her drive back home, she was killed in a car crash. She left it late, but she made it. Don’t leave it too late, friends. It’s later than you think.

Could convicted mass murder Jeffrey Dahmer get to heaven before you?

JEFFREY DAHMER - THE MASSACRE IN MILWAUKEE

The following information has been presented relative to the serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer (Pictured) and the horrific crimes he committed during the course of his brutal reign of terror as he lured 16 young men to his apartment and then set about to seduce and then systematically drug and murder each one of his successive victims.

Even though there are no real doubts at all that he will go down in the annuals of history in American society as one of the most horrendous serial killers of all there still remains something about the whole case that it is out of the ordinary, or more than that, quiet extraordinary, comparative to the way that he had met his final end, and even well before that, the way that he had repented of his sins and sought salvation before he was brutally murdered in prison by a fellow deranged inmate.

The purpose of this article is to explain my feelings relative to the salvation or otherwise of Jeffrey Dahmer, and in writing this article my intent has never ever to express malice or ill feelings against the victims of these crimes, nor their families but only to express my belief that there is hope for salvation for even the very worst of those that live and walk amongst us in this society.

If however, there is by any slim chance that I have unintentionally upset the families of the victims of these crimes then I will be more than happy to withdraw this article forever from the Internet, and in doing so extend my heartiest apologies for ever having published it in the first place.

Jeffrey Dahmer will definitely go down in history as a very wicked man. Being a homosexual who abducted, raped, tortured, murdered and cannibalized his many victims, he is ranked among the world's worst men in the minds of most. Now I want you imagine a difficult thing; that Dahmer went straight into the arms of Jesus the moment he died. "Impossible", you might snort with indignation! "Why this guy was a real sicko, an evil savage. The Devil incarnate! This boy will surely burn in hell for eternity!"

Well, I would like to tell you a true story about Dahmer which was reported in the "Christian Chronicle" and "The Daily Oklahoman" newspapers. A Christian lady named Mary Mott saw Dahmer on a TV show discussing his need for inner peace. Mott mailed a series of Bible lessons to Dahmer which he completed and mailed back to Mott. He thanked Mott and said he wanted to become a Christian. Through a series of events a Christian minister, Roy Ratcliff, went into the prison and studied the Bible with Dahmer. He was immersed in water for the remission of his sins on May 10, 1994. He continued to study the Bible every week in prison until the day of his murder, Nov 28, 1994. One TV report quoted Dahmer as saying that he was at peace with himself and God, just two weeks prior to his murder.

Now I am not playing down the horrendous sins that Dahmer committed. But the real question is; could Dahmer go to heaven? Could God forgive him for what he did? I must admit that when I first heard this bizarre twist of events, that I had no problem believing God could forgive. My problem was believing that someone like Dahmer could truly repent of his sins.

The Jews on Pentecost asked Apostle Peter after he convicted them of murdering Jesus Christ, "What shall we do?" Peter replied to them, "Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of your sins" Acts 2:37-38. Which sin was worse? Dahmer's or the murder of the sinless Christ? God forgave 3000 souls of their sin of murdering Christ. "So then, those who had received Peter's word were baptized; and there were added that day about three thousand souls." Acts 2:41 The critical question is not whether God could forgive Dahmer, but whether Dahmer truly repented.

Apostle Paul was also guilty of murdering the innocent. He was primarily responsible for the stoning of Stephen in Acts 8. Later, after Paul was converted, he wrote of himself, "It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. And yet for this reason I found mercy, in order that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience, as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life." 1 Tim 1:15-16 Paul was acutely aware that he had committed a terrible crime by murdering Stephen.

Will Dahmer go to heaven? No one knows except God. It will be based upon the genuiness of Dahmer's repentance and conversion. But I would personally like to think he is. In fact I would like God to use Jeffery Dahmer as an example of His divine forgiveness. Perhaps God picks one notorious sinner who repented from each generation and holds him up and says, "If I can forgive Jeffery Dahmer, I can forgive anyone of any sin."

Imagine you have two men. One is a vile sinner, murderer and thief. The second was awarded the citizen of the year award and only has a little sin in his life. Which one is closer to God? Neither! They are both equally far away because it is the first sin that sends us to hell, not the number of sins or how bad the sins are we commit.

If Dahmer is saved, it only illustrates that God is not a respecter of persons, that God sees all sins as equal. Yet for many people they cannot even consider that Dahmer could be saved. That is because they mistakenly think that our salvation is based upon our good works rather than the unmerited favour of God. I call this misconception, "balance scale salvation". They think that as long as the good outweighs the bad that they will go to heaven. Well, not in God's eyes! For unless the citizen of the year truly repents of his one and only sin he ever committed and believes in Jesus as the eternal divine saviour, it is he who will go to hell and Jeffery Dahmer (with true repentance), will go to heaven just as you will to if you are yet unsaved by repenting the believers prayer of repentance reformatted below.

Apart from the spiritual evidence to suggest that Dahmer may have been saved there is real physical evidence to suggest that Jeffrey Dahmer may have been saved, apart the obvious facts already presented relative to his alleged repentance?

The evidence is that there is something very peculiar about the whole incident relative to the way that he had met his end by being bludgeoned to death with a set of barbells in a manner that was almost in exactly the same he had killed his first victim.

That would seem to indicate that there is a direct correlation between the fact of Dahmer repenting of his sins and in his untimely death by being beaten to death with the barbells as if the actual death itself was a payback from God that had meant he was not allowed to live any longer.

This information seems to have been verified further by the reality of the his death being in a similar manner to his first victim as if to indicate that had been a message from God that to the world what he had done in between had been forgiven?

It now seems that the hand of God has been right on Jeffrey Dahmer right from the beginning and that even the manner of his death was a sure indicator of this. Therefore, what had happened to Dahmer in between was more to do with the unfortunate circumstances of his upbringing and childhood than with the fact of his necessarily being a truly evil person.

Proposal on Mideast conference in Moscow remains in force-RF envoy

BEIRUT, December 12 (Itar-Tass) - The proposal to hold an international Middle East conference in Moscow “remains in force,” Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Saltanov (Pictured) told Itar-Tass in an interview. “We do not abandon this idea and give preference to collective efforts in the peace process,” the senior Russian diplomat said.

Saltanov, who is also RF president’s special envoy for the Middle East, noted that the “International conference is an important instrument for advancing the comprehensive settlement of the Arab-Israeli conflict.” According to him, it is the best option for attaining progress not only in Palestine, but also in other spheres of the peace process. “We are certain that the collective work is needed, as isolated attempts have led to nothing,” the Russian deputy foreign minister said.

Saltanov admitted that the situation around the settlement remains difficult, and “it is so far difficult to make any assumptions about what might happen next.” He said that representatives of countries - members of the Quartet of international mediators on the Middle East settlement will hold a meeting on the initiative of the American side.

The Russian deputy foreign minister on Saturday concluded talks in Lebanon and on Sunday will travel to Damascus, where he will hold consultations with Syrian counterparts.

The Russian leadership believes that the Israeli-Palestinian talks can be resumed only collectively on the basis of the strong basis of international law and in strict compliance with the “Road Map”, relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the Arab peace initiative. It is important to refrain from actions that would anticipate the outcome of the talks on the final status, stop all settlement activities in Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem, and decisively fight terrorist manifestations.

Palestinian-Israeli talks may resume if Israel stops settlement activities, Palestinian National Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said in an exclusive interview with Itar-Tass during his visit to Russia in January. Abbas recalled that former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and he had “come to the stage of determining the borders and exchanged maps” but “Olmert ran into problems and resigned.” “But we want to resume that movement in order to solve it, and if they [Israelis] agree to suspend settlement activities and agree with the borders of 1967, we will resume the talks, and I hope Israel will do it,” Abbas said. Palestinians will live with Israel in tolerance if the state of Palestine is created, Abbas said.

The Quartet on the Middle East, sometimes called the Diplomatic Quartet or Madrid Quartet or simply the Quartet, is a foursome of nations and international and supranational entities involved in mediating the peace process in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Quartet was established in Madrid in 2002 by the Spanish Prime Minister Aznar, as a result of the escalating conflict in the Middle East. Tony Blair is the Quartet's current Special Envoy.

The greatest chance that I have ever seen in my lifetime for Middle East peace now lies within easy reach!

The accuracy of the Bible prophecies really amazes me. For thousands and thousands of years there has been so many who have been saying that this one, or that one, was going to be the Beast of Revelation. At the end of the day none of those who were thought of as being the Beast actually turned out to be as so many had said they may be - the Antichrist.

However, when the Antichrist is finally revealed there is hardly a whimper made of that fact over the Internet. It really does seem to all the world asunder as if the event never ever happened at all, just as the Bible said would be the case.

Meaning, that even those who were in positions of power holding high office would let the event go by without even making the slightest noise about it.

The best part of all of this is that there seems to be no one at all that seems to be listening to the cries I am making over the Internet relative to this supposition. That being said, there are now no real doubts at all relative to extreme veracity of the Bible prophecies - see the aforementioned.

There is already quite strong evidence to suggest that the newly appointed president of the EU, Herman Van Rompuy, is a lot more than what he appears to be, and that he indeed may be the Beast of Revelation?

There are also no doubts at all that the world shall really know who the Antichrist is by his confirmation of a seven year peace treaty in the Middle East between Israel and Palestine. For the correct verification of that event then one need to look no further than to the prophecies of Daniel Chapter 9, Verse 27.

Daniel 9:27 (King James Version)27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

It is by the confirmation of the aforementioned treaty that the final seven years of mankind's history here on the earth shall begin.

What really does come as a real surprise was to see the former Australian Prime Minister, (now Australian Foreign Minister) over in Israel seemingly trying to promote Middle East peace which would also seem to indicate that the possibility for peace in the region now being within a hairs breadth.

There are also no doubts at all that one of the greatest proponents of Middle East peace is Abdullah II of Jordan. (Pictured)

With the news that is coming over the wires that Van Rompuy and King Abdullah II have reaffirmed strong ties there are now no real doubts (in my own mind at least) that what we are seeing in the coming together of these men, (as they confirm their ties to one another) the greatest chance of peace in the Middle East that I have seen in my own lifetime.

Even though I do not profess to be a Bible scholar in any shape or form whatsoever, but after having read certain other postings on the Internet relative to the other certain conditions that must come into play before we see the treaty of Daniel confirmed, the meeting and coming together of these two men, (I am sure) spells the fulfilment of other portions of the Bible prophecies as well?

In simplified terms, President Herman van Rompuy and His Majesty King Abdullah II have expressed appreciation for the "advanced status" of the EU-Jordan partnership and agreed on the prospects of intensifying cooperation while maintaining the commitment to their shared values and interests.

The European Union's support for Jordan's reforms in the political and economic areas was reconfirmed.

A joint statement released after the meeting said they met on Wednesday 15 December to reaffirm the strong relationship between the European Union and Jordan and to discuss issues of common concern.

The leaders discussed regional issues including the Middle East Peace Process, the Union for the Mediterranean, and issues linked to regional actors. They were pleased by the extent of common ground that they identified between the positions of the European Union and Jordan, respectively.

Finally, the President and His Majesty the King looked forward to the excellent prospects of further and deeper collaboration in the framework of the European Neighbourhood Policy and beyond.

The False Teachers who hide behind the charade of the normality by being called Christian

Even though I do not receive one cent of financial remuneration for the efforts that I am making here in presenting this information relative to the fulfilment of the Bible prophecies in the daily news broadcasts, I also do not expect to receive any monetary reward either.

The Lord said freely give and freely receive.

By just knowing that I have received the Lord Jesus Christ as my saviour and deliverer is, (which in turn means that I shall inherit eternal life) is more than enough gratification and reward for me.

Therefore, as a consequence of that blessed reassurance I shall continue to carry on as I am at the moment by presenting these series of articles.

I will do so in the hope that I may help others who read these articles and are not yet saved may then decide to do so by coming to a place of repentance.

These articles have been specifically designed not to frighten or scaremonger, as that is not, nor never was, my real intention.

Instead, these articles were designed to inform others of the impending doom the planet and its inhabitants now face.

That coupled with the hopeless situation the majority of those people who populate the planet now find themselves in without Christ as their saviour and deliverer.

Specifically, these articles are designed to help others to wake others up to the veracity of the Bible prophecies, and in doing so help those who have not come to a realization of just how close the world is to the very end of the church age itself.

The hope of it all is after having read these articles those that have not done so may then realize the dire straits they are in, and then repent of their sins by reciting the believers prayer of repentance that has been reformatted below on the home page of this BlogSpot.

Before I began to post these series of articles on this Google blog I was paying $30.00 every second year for domain name registration, and close on $200.00 per year for web hosting. Ever since I had started to utilize the free blog service that Google offers, all of that has now changed.

As I now have the freely given privilege of posting my thoughts and observations relative to the end times on this BlogSpot it is and never has been, nor will it ever be, an advantage that I would ever abuse in any shape or form whatsoever.

That being said there are still those who have the audacity to call themselves Christian who do not run along the same mindset as what I do.

Nevertheless to say, there are several individuals who are using this freely given advantage of the Google blogs to maliciously gossip against and slander several other groups and yet they still call themselves Christian.

That was never my intention, nor the purpose these Google blogs, as they were given out to one and all asunder to be used freely. In fact, there are some very clear guidelines that one must agree and adhere to and before taking out a Google blog. These sets of guidelines are called rules by any other name.

If there is someone out there in Cyber land who does not hold to the same principles as what you do, or if for whatever reason, you do not agree with their particular theology or doctrine that is no reason to deliberately set out to defame or slander that particular person or organization, as there are quite clearly some out there who are so fond of doing.

The idea behind the Internet initially was that it was to be used as the information highway so that certain bits and pieces of information could be presented on the Internet.

It was never ever intended to be used as a tool to viciously attack others in the manner that certain individuals who still call themselves Christians are doing at the moment.

Even though it really regrets me to have to do so, there has now come a time when I too shall have to lower myself to this same sad level by naming and shaming two particular individual(s) who are responsible for this type of behaviour. However, the only difference between my naming and shaming and his is that in this instance I shall endeavour to be as discreet as possible by using initials only, and not by directly using the individual(s) concerned full name(s).

This concerns quite a well known blog (with the initials being SM) with the administrator of that blog being quite a well so called end times evangelist (with the initials being BM) The main reason of concern though is to do with the comments that were posted onto the blog after the initial article was posted.

The article concerned that the administrator concerned had put onto his of the blog read something along these lines and was entitled: A MESSAGE FROM MIKE FRYER RE: HIS CHURCH EVICTED BECAUSE OF THEIR BELIEFS. Apparently a pastor of the aforementioned name was evicted from his church because he held certain beliefs relating to a doctrine called the Kingdom Now dogma.

The aforesaid blog administrator (BM) had put a message thankfulness from the pastor concerned, MIKE FRYER, relative to the eviction of that particular congregation after BM had expressed concern over that said same eviction.

There is nothing wrong with that you may say, and to that I would agree, except for the replies that appeared in the comments section of that article denigrating MIKE FRYER and his Kingdom Now beliefs.

You may well say, the blog administrator was not responsible for those comments as they had come from someone else. But he was still responsible for the comments because they had appeared on his blog, meaning that he had allowed those defamatory remarks to be published.

That being the case, he is just as responsible for those inflammatory comments as the person who wrote those comments is. In other words, both the blog administrator (BM) and the person who wrote the remarks for the comments section (JC of the Watchman for Jesus blog) have stabbed MIKE FRYER and his congregation in the back.

There is no point whatsoever in my repeating the comments that were made on the SM BlogSpot. On the other hand, if one has a desire to see what was written there then go to that blog and read what was said for yourselves.

To be perfectly frank, the remarks that were made there were not as bad as one may assume, but that is not the main point I am trying to make here. What concerns me more than anything else is the manner in which this whole charade was conducted, and the entirely unscrupulous manner in which BM is conducting his BlogSpot in the decidedly unchristian manner he is.

Here is my reply to those comments which I would expect would not be published on the SM BlogSpot.
I have never ever heard of this Mike Fryer fellow, let alone ever had the occasion to have met him or anyone from his group, but what concerns me more than anything else is why you and a few others are so openly attacking him and his method of fellowship in an open area forum such as what the S.M. website affords you the opportunity to do when he really has no right of reply or comeback whatsoever.

If you really do consider him to be such a menace, why not stop hiding behind your computer keyboard and go and have a face to face discussion with him just to see how far that gets you?

That suggestion applies to Mitchell as well.

If there anyone there at all from that group who were there to meet the both of you eye ball to eye ball they would be well within their rights to go within and whatever direction the Lord leads them towards.

Whatever the outcome of all of this it will be no less than what you both deserve, the pair of two faced hypocrites you are.
Then you have written to him and then out of courtesy he has replied. Then of course you choose to come forth with this five part email response. It still bothers me somewhat that you have chosen to launder your dirty linen on an open area such as what a forum area allows you to.

Small wonder he does not want to have anything to do with you ever again, I don't blame him for that one little bit.

What a joke you all both you and Mitchell are? Nonetheless, you still have the audacity to call yourselves Christian when there could be nothing at all that is farther away from Christianity than what you pair of clowns are by stirring up the pot as you both are.

Mitchell was quite clearly the one that started this, by why did you a few others choose to follow suit as the aforementioned is only trying to attract attention to himself to boost up his ratings and presence on the Internet.

He has nothing at all to pass onto his regular readers, so he comes forth with this type of misinformation just to agitate, and indeed provoke, those sad, lost and lonely people who really have nothing, or very little else, in their miserable lives other than to want to come to his blog to see what type of nonsense he has come up with, and that is what all he is all he is able to come up with - nonsense.

End times ministry, there is nothing about his so called ministry that has anything at all to do with the end times.

Why are you concerning yourself with Mike Fryer at all, and what harm is he doing to you or the other sad and dejected individuals who have made comments on the SM website other than the concerns you both feel over the Kingdom Now theology? From where I am sitting he hasn't done anything to either one of you. What a pair of losers you both are!

Who gave you the authority, and indeed the responsibility to set yourself on high and attack other groups as you are quite clearly so fond of doing? Please don't come back at me with scripture, as there is nothing at all that I can see that relates to anything you are espousing that has anything at all to do with Christianity and the Bible. Instead, your whole dogma and persona is nothing more than pure slander and gossip against other groups and religions who act a little differently than what the both of you do.

[By making this statement I am not advocating that all roads lead to heaven, such as what the World Religion lead by the Antichrist teaches. On the contrary, I still believe there is only one way to Heaven and that is through the Lord Jesus Christ, the saviour and deliverer of mankind.]

Then of course you go on to say that he does not believe in the rapture of the church, so what why do you hold something against those who do not have a system of belief in the rapture of the church?

From where I am sitting I was not aware it was compulsory to believe in the rapture. I do not believe in the Kingdom Now doctrine either, and yet I certainly do not believe in the rapture of the church, simply because there is nothing in the Bible whatsoever that says anything about a rapture.

So does that make me and all the millions of others around the world who do not believe in the rapture wrong and you right? No of course it does not, just as it does not make you right to continually set out on a pathway to harass and decimate other groups that believe little differently than what you do.

That challenge still stands to you and to anyone else out there who is able to show me one verse, yes that's right, just one verse, that says anything about a rapture of the church.

The problem I see is that there is you and so many others who have been in regular church attendance for so many years, and in doing so you have lost the ability to think for yourselves and act in a manner that is conducive to your own thought patterns. Instead, the aforementioned group have been brain washed by the pastors of those churches that have been attending regularly who have been telling them what you want to hear with doctrines that are clearly false, such as the rapture of the church.

Read what the word of God says, and not something that some pastor tells you from the preachers box. That's the trouble with the preponderance of those who call themselves Christian, they're are not reading the Bible enough.

Whatever happened to the Pentecostal Church you were going to? You had said you left that because you felt that it was being taken over by the New Age Movement, or that is was you had said. Quite frankly, I do not believe that for one little bit, and it seems that you may have left regular church attendance because of the terrible attitude you hold?

How dare you ever have the cheek to call yourself a watchman for Jesus. If this was any indicator at all as to the way Christians carried on if there are those that are as yet unsaved that happened to come across the SM website, if the remarks you had posted were any real indicator at all, those concerned would immediately be turned off and not want to have anything at all to do with Christianity.

I have said this about you and your so called ministry before - you are not doing the good works of the Lord as you think you are, but instead are doing nothing more than the works of the enemy, Satan.

Former EU leaders call for concrete measures against Israel

Twenty-six former EU leaders urged European countries to adopt a tougher stance towards Israel including taking 'concrete measures' and exacting 'consequences' over illegal settlement building.
(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - 'It is clear that without a rapid and dramatic move … a two-state solution, which forms the one and only available option for a peaceful resolution of this conflict, will be increasingly difficult to attain,' they warned in a joint letter.

The letter has been sent to EU president Herman van Rompuy, foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton and all EU heads of government ahead of foreign ministers attending their regular General Affairs Council meeting in Brussels on Monday and Tuesday.

Signatures include Britain’s former EU commissioner Chris Patten former EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana, (pictured), former Irish president Mary Robinson and another nine former heads of state.

'Time to secure a sustainable peace is fast running out,' their joint letter warned, urging the EU, in co-operation with other international bodies, to forward a 'concrete and comprehensive proposal for the resolution of this conflict'.

It suggested that a deadline of April 2011 for progress in peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians should be set, after which the international community should intervene.

The unprecedented call comes after the US admitted failure in trying to persuade Israel to renew a moratorium on a partial freeze on illegal settlement building as a precondition for suspended talks with the Palestinians to continue.

The former EU leaders call for a clear timetable to be put together to resolve the conflict which has been going on since the creation of Israel on Palestinian land more than 60 years ago.

It also urges the EU to reiterate its position that it will not recognise any changes to the June 1967 boundaries, that a Palestinian state should be 'territory equivalent to 100% of the territory occupied in 1967', and that its capital should be East Jerusalem.

By way of sanctions, the former EU leaders warn that although the world’s largest trading bloc has always maintained that settlements are illegal, it has “not attached any consequences for continued and systematic settlement expansion.'

They also call for an end to the import of illegal settlement products 'which are, in contradiction with EU labelling recommendations, marketed as originating in Israel'.

Has the Mexican Climate Change Conference secretly ushered in a World Government - the answer to that is definite NO?

If we were to read the masses and masses of attached information relative to the abdication of the West From the Viscount Monckton of Brenchley (see the attached photograph on the left of the screen) relating to the very recent climate change treaty agreed upon a few days ago in Cancun, Mexico there can be no doubts at all that what we are dealing with here is the writings of a man who is more than well versed and competent in the ins and outs of the plans to set up a World Government.

In fact, he is so well versed that there are doubts that are being to arise, in my own mind at least, as to just who this man is and where does he get his information from? That seems to be the burning question?

When he begins to use terms such as - a Body to Develop Modalities for the Operationalization of the Work Program on the Impact of the Implementation of Response Measures - these are the sayings and terminologies of the planners behind the World Government itself.

So one may therefore rightly ask, is this man friend or foe in the sense that even though he is telling us what is taking place right under our noses, that in itself is being done for a specific purpose so that we are being gradually and superstitiously prepared for the world government by his making this information readily known by publishing it over the Internet.

I am not easily fooled by this information, even though for the most part there are no doubts at all that what I am reading below is correct and accurate in every sense of the word.

That being the case, there is every right for the average man in the street, such as myself, to ask just who is this man (the Viscount Monckton of Brenchley) and where does he get his credentials from? Is he a part of the solution, or is he actually a part of the problem itself?

There are no doubts at all that what has been suggested will work in theory, but there are also no doubts at all that even those that have never ever professed to knowing the Lord Jesus Christ as their saviour and deliverer know what is going on and that there is a World Government being set up right under their noses.

Anyone is aware of this fact that has access to the Internet at their fingertips.

[There has been occasions that I have listened to secular late night radio and even those pagans that run these types of programs are well aware of the insidious plans to set up a New World Order.]

There still needs to be other information, and indeed scriptural evidence, to back up the claims that have been made by the author of the article, the Viscount Monckton of Brenchley, that what we are dealing with here is comparative to the fulfilment of the Bible prophecies, when there is nothing there at all to even comes close to suggesting that is the case.

There is no real evidence to suggest that this man is a Born Again Christian even though what he has presented here appears to be correct in every sense of the word...

If he is not a Born Again Christian, then even though there are masses and masses of information presented below what we are really offered here is an incomplete picture. There are still a significant number of gaps to be filled before we can make the equation complete.

That being the case, we still need to see what the word of God has to say relative to what has transpired over the past few days -- with the facts of the matter being that what we have just witnessed is a UN based summit.

Nevertheless, there is nothing whatsoever in the Bible that says anything at all about the UN (but rather the EU) being the Final World Empire before the return back onto the earth of the Lord Jesus Christ.

That being the case, there has nothing that has come out of the recent climate change summit except to create a bridge between the Antichrist and the UN over who is going to rule the New World Order.

If my interpretation of the Bible is correct then what we are going to see in the immediate future is the retaliation by the Beast as he sets out to attack and destroy the UN by attacking their very hearts the UN headquarters in New York City itself. see Revelation Chapter 18.

Just because there have been a couple of hundred nations sign a climate change treaty it does not automatically mean there is a World Government in place, even though is going to be literally hundreds and hundreds of billions siphoned off towards this alleged cause.

In fact, all that has been created is a precedent and indeed an excuse for the Beast to plunge the world into an apocalyptic Third World War.

NB: the man in question has been over here in Australia spouting his World Government propaganda and for the most part he was treated with the disdain that he more than likely possibly deserves? There are still going to be obviously some that are taken in by this type of nonsense when there is actually no real scriptural evidence to back up what he has suggested about a UN Climate Change Summit equating to a World Government when the word of God does not suggest that at all.

Now that I have made my own stance known on the information go on and read it for yourself and decide the outcome based on the Bible prophecies themselves.

The abdication of the West
From The Viscount Monckton of Brenchley
Cancun, Mexico

I usually add some gentle humour to these reports. Not today. Read this and weep.

Notwithstanding the carefully-orchestrated propaganda to the effect that nothing much will be decided at the UN climate conference here in Cancun, the decisions to be made here this week signal nothing less than the abdication of the West. The governing class in what was once proudly known as the Free World is silently, casually letting go of liberty, prosperity, and even democracy itself. No one in the mainstream media will tell you this, not so much because they do not see as because they do not bl**dy care.

The 33-page Note (FCCC/AWGLCA/2010/CRP.2) by the Chairman of the “Ad-Hoc Working Group on Long-Term Co-operative Action under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change”, entitled Possible elements of the outcome, reveals all. Or, rather, it reveals nothing, unless one understands what the complex, obscure jargon means. All UNFCCC documents at the Cancun conference, specifically including Possible elements of the outcome, are drafted with what is called “transparent impenetrability”. The intention is that the documents should not be understood, but that later we shall be told they were in the public domain all the time, so what are we complaining about?

Since the Chairman’s note is very long, I shall summarize the main points:
Finance: Western countries will jointly provide $100 billion a year by 2020 to an unnamed new UN Fund. To keep this sum up with GDP growth, the West may commit itself to pay 1.5% of GDP to the UN each year. That is more than twice the 0.7% of GDP that the UN has recommended the West to pay in foreign aid for the past half century. Several hundred of the provisions in the Chairman’s note will impose huge financial costs on the nations of the West.

The world-government Secretariat:

In all but name, the UN Convention’s Secretariat will become a world government directly controlling hundreds of global, supranational, regional, national and sub-national bureaucracies. It will receive the vast sum of taxpayers’ money ostensibly paid by the West to the Third World for adaptation to the supposed adverse consequences of imagined (and imaginary) “global warming”.

Bureaucracy:

Hundreds of new interlocking bureaucracies answerable to the world-government Secretariat will vastly extend its power and reach. In an explicit mirroring of the European Union’s method of enforcing the will of its unelected Kommissars on the groaning peoples of that benighted continent, the civil servants of nation states will come to see themselves as servants of the greater empire of the Secretariat, carrying out its ukases and diktats whatever the will of the nation states’ governments. Many of the new bureaucracies are disguised as “capacity-building in developing countries”. This has nothing to do with growing the economies or industries of poorer nations. It turns out to mean the installation of hundreds of bureaucratic offices answerable to the Secretariat in numerous countries around the world. Who pays? You do, gentle taxpayer. Babylon, Byzantium, the later Ottoman Empire, the formidable bureaucracy of Nazi Germany, the vast empire of 27,000 paper-shufflers at the European Union: add all of these together and multiply by 100 and you still do not reach the sheer size, cost, power and reach of these new subsidiaries of the Secretariat. In addition to multiple new bureaucracies in every one of the 193 states parties to the Convention, there will be an Adaptation Framework Body, a Least Developed Countries’ Adaptation Planning Body, an Adaptation Committee, Regional Network Centres, an International Centre to Enhance Adaptation Research, National Adaptation Institutions, a Body to Clarify Assumptions and Conditions in National Greenhouse-Gas Emission Reductions Pledges, a Negotiating Body for an Overall Level of Ambition for Aggregate Emission Reductions and Individual Targets, an Office to Revise Guidelines for National Communications, a Multilateral Communications Process Office, a Body for the Process to Develop Modalities and Guidelines for the Compliance Process, a Registry of Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions by Developed Countries, a Body to Supervise the Process for Understanding Diversity of Mitigation Actions Submitted and Support Needed, a Body to Develop Modalities for the Registry of Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions, an Office of International Consultation and Analysis; an Office to Conduct a Work Program for Development of Various Modalities and Guidelines; a network of Developing Countries’ National Forest Strategy Action Plan Offices; a network of National Forest Reference Emission Level And/or Forest Reference Level Bodies; a network of National Forest Monitoring Systems; an Office of the Work Program on Agriculture to Enhance the Implementation of Article 4, Paragraph 1(c) of the Convention Taking Into Account Paragraph 31; one or more Mechanisms to Establish a Market-Based Approach to Enhance the Cost-Effectiveness Of And To Promote Mitigation Actions; a Forum on the Impact of the Implementation of Response Measures; a Work Program Office to Address the Impact of the Implementation of Response Measures; a Body to Review the Needs of Developing Countries for Financial Resources to Address Climate Change and Identify Options for Mobilization of Those Resources; a Fund in Addition to the Copenhagen Green Fund; an Interim Secretariat for the Design Phase of the New Fund; a New Body to Assist the Conference of the Parties in Exercising its Functions with respect to the Financial Mechanism; a Body to Launch a Process to Further Define the Roles and Functions of the New Body to Assist the Conference of the Parties in Exercising its Functions with respect to the Financial Mechanism; a Technology Executive Committee; a Climate Technology Centre and Network; a Network of National, Regional, Sectoral and International Technology Centres, Networks, Organization and Initiatives; Twinning Centres for Promotion of North-South, South-South and Triangular Partnerships with a View to Encouraging Co-operative Research and Development; an Expert Workshop on the Operational Modalities of the Technology Mechanism; an International Insurance Facility; a Work Program Body for Policy Approaches and Positive Incentives on Issues Relating to Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation in Developing Countries; a Body to Implement a Work Program on the Impact of the Implementation of Response Measures; and a Body to Develop Modalities for the Operationalization of the Work Program on the Impact of the Implementation of Response Measures.

The world government’s powers:The Secretariat will have the power not merely to invite nation states to perform their obligations under the climate-change Convention, but to compel them to do so. Nation states are to be ordered to collect, compile and submit vast quantities of information, in a manner and form to be specified by the secretariat and its growing army of subsidiary bodies. Between them, they will be given new powers to verify the information, to review it and, on the basis of that review, to tell nation states what they can and cannot do.

Continuous expansion:
The verb “enhance”, in its various forms, occurs at least 28 times in the Chairman’s note, Similar verbs, such as “strengthen” and “extend”, and adjectives such as “scaled-up”, “new” and “additional”, are also frequently deployed, particularly in relation to funding at the expense of Western taxpayers. If all of the “enhancements” proposed in the note were carried out, the cost would comfortably exceed the annual $100 billion (or, for that matter, the 1.5% of GDP) that the note mentions as the cost to the West over the coming decade.

Intellectual property in inventions:
Holders of patents, particularly in fields related to “global warming” and its mitigation, will be obliged to transfer the benefits of their inventiveness to developing countries without payment of royalties. This is nowhere explicitly stated in the Chairman’s note, but the transfer of technology is mentioned about 20 times in the draft, suggesting that the intention is still to carry out the explicit provision in the defunct Copenhagen Treaty draft of 15 September 2009 to this effect.

Insurance:

The Secretariat proposes, in effect, to interfere so greatly in the operation of the worldwide insurance market that it will cease to be a free market, with the usual severely adverse consequences to everyone in that market.

The free market:

The failed Copenhagen Treaty draft stipulated that the “government” that would be established would have the power to set the rules of all formerly free markets. There would be no such thing as free markets any more. In Cancun, the Chairman’s note merely says that various “market mechanisms” may be exploited by the Secretariat and by the parties to the Convention: but references to these “market mechanisms” are frequent enough to suggest that the intention remains to stamp out free markets worldwide.

Knowledge is power:
The Chairman’s note contains numerous references to a multitude of new as well as existing obligations on nation states to provide information to the Secretariat, in a form and manner which it will dictate. The hand of the EU is very visible here. It grabbed power from the member-states in four stages: first, acting merely as a secretariat to ensure stable supplies of coal and steel to rebuild Europe after the Second World War; then as a registry requiring member states to supply it with ever more information; then as a review body determining on the basis of the information supplied by the member states whether they were complying with their obligations on the ever-lengthier and more complex body of European treaties; and finally as the ultimate law-making authority, to which all elected parliaments, explicitly including the European “Parliament”, were and are subject. Under the Cancun proposals, the Secretariat is following the path that the plague of EU officials here have no doubt eagerly advised it to follow.

It is now taking numerous powers not merely to require information from nation states but to hold them to account for their supposed international obligations under the climate-change Convention on the basis of the information the nations are now to be compelled to supply.

Propaganda:
The Chairman’s note contains several mentions of the notion that the peoples of the world need to be told more about climate change. Here, too, there is a parallel with the EU, which administers a propaganda fund of some $250 million a year purely to advertise its own wonderfulness to an increasingly sceptical population. The IPCC already spends millions every year with PR agencies, asking them to find new ways of making its blood-curdling message more widely understood and feared among ordinary people. The Secretariat already has the advantage of an uncritical, acquiescent, scientifically illiterate, economically innumerate and just plain dumb news media: now it will have a propaganda fund to play with as well.

Damage caused by The Process:At the insistence of sensible nation states such as the United States, the Czech Republic, Japan, Canada, and Italy, the Cancun outcome acknowledges that The Process is causing, and will cause, considerable economic damage, delicately described in the Chairman’s note as “unintended side-effects of implementing climate-change response measures”. The solution? Consideration of the catastrophic economic consequences of the Secretariat’s heroically lunatic decisions will fall under the control of – yup – the Secretariat. Admire its sheer gall.

Damage to world trade:

As the power, wealth and reach of the Secretariat grow, it finds itself rubbing uncomfortably up against other supranational organizations. In particular, the World Trade Organization has been getting antsy about the numerous aspects of the Secretariat’s proposals that constitute restrictions on international trade. At several points, the Chairman’s note expresses the “decision” – in fact, no more than an opinion and a questionable one at that – that the Secretariat’s policies are not restrictive of trade.

The Canute provision:The conference will reaffirm the decision of its predecessor in Copenhagen this time last year “to hold the increase in global average temperature below 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels”, just like that. In fact, temperature in central England, and by implication globally, rose 2.2 Celsius in the 40 years 1695-1735, as the Sun began to recover from its 11,400-year activity minimum, and rose again by 0.74 C in the 20th century. There has been no warming in the 21st century, but we are already well over 2 Celsius degrees above pre-industrial levels. The Canute provision, as some delegates have dubbed it (after the Danish king of early England who famously taught his courtiers the limitations of his power and, a fortiori, theirs when he set up his throne on the beach and commanded sea level not to rise, whereupon the tide came in as usual and wet the royal feet), shows the disconnect between The Process and reality.

Omissions:
There are several highly-significant omissions, which jointly and severally establish that the central intent of The Process no longer has anything to do with the climate, if it ever had. The objective is greatly to empower and still more greatly to enrich the international classe politique at the expense of the peoples of the West, using the climate as a pretext, so as to copy the European Union by installing in perpetuity what some delegates here are calling “transnational perma-Socialism” beyond the reach or recall of any electorate. Here are the key omissions:

The science:
The question whether any of this vast expansion of supranational power is scientifically necessary is not addressed. Instead, there is merely a pietistic affirmation of superstitious faith in the IPCC, where the conference will “recognize that deep cuts in global [greenhouse-gas] emissions are required according to science, and as documented in the [IPCC’s] Fourth Assessment Report.”

The economics:
There is no assessment of the extent to which any of the proposed actions to mitigate “global warming” by cutting emissions of carbon dioxide or to adapt the world to its consequences will be cost-effective. Nor, tellingly, is there any direct comparison between mitigation and adaptation in their cost-effectiveness: indeed, the IPCC was carefully structured so that mitigation and adaptation are considered by entirely separate bureaucracies producing separate reports, making any meaningful comparison difficult. Though every economic analysis of this central economic question, other than that of the now-discredited Lord Stern, shows that mitigation is a pointless fatuity and that focused adaptation to the consequences of any “global warming” that may occur would be orders of magnitude cheaper and more cost-effective, the Cancun conference outcome will continue to treat mitigation as being of equal economic utility with adaptation.

Termination:
Contracts have termination clauses to say what happens when the agreement ends. Nothing better illustrates the intent to create a permanent world-government structure than the absence of any termination provisions whatsoever in the Cancun outcome. The Process, like diamonds, is forever.

Democracy:Forget government of the people, by the people, for the people. Forget the principle of “no taxation without representation” that led to the very foundation of the United States. The provisions for the democratic election of the new, all-powerful, legislating, tax-raising world-government Secretariat by the peoples of the world may be summarized in a single word: None.

How did this monstrous transfer of power from once-proud, once-sovereign, once-democratic nations to the corrupt, unelected Secretariat come about? The story begins with Sir Maurice Strong, an immensely wealthy UN bureaucrat from Canada who, a quarter of a century ago, established the IPCC as an intergovernmental, political body rather than as a scientific body precisely so that it could be manoeuvred into assisting in the UN’s long-term aim, reiterated at a summit of senior UN officials this May by Ban Ki-Moon himself, of extinguishing national sovereignty and establishing a world government.

The Process began in earnest in 1988, when the IPCC was established. Shortly thereafter, on a June day in Washington DC deliberately chosen by Al Gore because it was unusually hot, his political ally and financial benefactor James Hansen appeared before a Congressional committee and put before it a wildly-exaggerated graph predicting global warming over the coming 20 or 30 years. Yet June 2008, the 20th anniversary of his testimony, was cooler globally than June 1988, and worldwide warming has happened at less than half the rate he predicted.

The Rio Earth Summit in 1992 allowed environmental groups and world “leaders” to grandstand together. From that summit emerged the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, which began holding annual conferences on “global warming”.

The Kyoto Protocol in 1997 committed its signatories to cut back their national CO2 emissions to 1990 levels by 2012. Most are not going to make it. The US Senate, with Al Gore as its president, voted 95-0 to reject any treaty such as Kyoto, which bound only the West while leaving developing nations such as China to emit carbon dioxide without constraint.

Very little progress had been made by the time of the Bali conference in 2007: but at that conference a “road-map” was constructed that was to lead to a binding international treaty in Copenhagen in 2009.

Just one problem with that. The US Constitution provides that, even if the President has signed a treaty, his signature is meaningless unless the treaty has been debated in the Senate, which must ratify it by the votes of at least 67 of the 100 Senators. It became clear to everyone, after the Obama administration failed to cajole or bully even 60 Senators into passing the Waxman/Markey cap-and-tax Bill, that no climate treaty would pass the Senate.

Worse, the Secretariat grossly overreached itself. Believing its own propaganda to the effect that none but a few vexatious, fossil-funded sceptics believed that “global warming” would be small enough to be harmless, it drafted and posted up on its website a 186-page draft Treaty of Copenhagen, proposing to turn itself into an unelected world government with unlimited powers to impose direct taxation on member nations without representation, recourse or recall, to interfere directly in the environmental policies of individual nations, and to sweep away all free markets worldwide, replacing them with itself as the sole rule maker in every marketplace (treaty draft, annex 1, articles 36-38). Some quotations from the draft reveal the sheer ambition of the UN:

“The scheme for the new institutional arrangement under the Convention will be based on three basic pillars: government; facilitative mechanism; and financial mechanism. … The government will be ruled by the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change with the support of a new subsidiary body on adaptation, and of an Executive Board responsible for the management of the new funds and the related facilitative processes and bodies.” (Copenhagen Treaty draft of September 15, 2009, para. 38).

The three central powers that the UN had hoped to grant itself under the guise of Saving The Planet from alleged climate catastrophe were as follows:

“Government”:This use of the word “government” is the first use of the term to describe a world government in any international treaty draft.

“Financial mechanism”:The “financial mechanism” was a delicate phrase to describe a new power of the UN to levy unlimited taxation directly on the peoples of its member states: taxation without representation, and on a global scale.

“Facilitative mechanism”:
This mechanism would, for the first time, have given the UN he power directly to coerce and compel compliance on the part of its member states, by force if necessary. The Treaty draft describes it as –

“… a facilitative mechanism drawn up to facilitate the design, adoption and carrying out of public policies, as the prevailing instrument, to which the market rules and related dynamics should be subordinate.”

In short, there was to be a New World Order, with a “government” having at its command a “financial mechanism” in the form of unlimited rights to tax the world’s citizen’s directly, and a “facilitative mechanism” that would bring the rules of all formerly free markets under the direct control of the new UN “government”, aided by an already-expanding series of bureaucracies.

At no point anywhere in the 186 pages of the Treaty draft do the words “democracy”, “election”, “ballot”, or “vote” appear. As the EU has already demonstrated, the transfer of powers from sovereign democracies to supranational entities brings those democracies to an end. At the supranational level, in the UN, in the EU and in the proposed world government, decisions are not made by anyone whom we, the voters, have elected to make such decisions.

The exposure of the draft treaty in major international news media panicked the UN into abandoning the draft before the Copenhagen conference even began. Instead, the UN is now legislating crabwise, as the European Union does, with a series of successive annual agreements, the last of which was the Copenhagen Accord, each transferring more power and wealth from individual nations to its supranational bureaucracy. The latest of these agreements is being finalized here in Cancun.

The European Union, which has stealthily stamped out democracy over the past half-century by a series of treaties each transferring a little more power and wealth from elected hands in the member states to unelected hands in Brussels, has been advising the Secretariat on how to do the same on a global scale.

After the spectacular bloody nose the Secretariat got in Copenhagen, it was most anxious not to endure a second failure in Cancun. To this end, it obtained the agreement of the German government to host a monthly series of conferences in Bonn in the early part of 2010, some of which were open to outside observers and some were behind closed doors in a comfortable suburban palace, where the new way of legislating for the world – in secret – first came into use.

The Chinese regime, anxious to get a piece of the action, agreed to host an additional session in Tientsin a few weeks ago. The purpose of this near-perpetual international junketing – which the national delegates have greatly enjoyed at our expense – was to make sure that nearly all of the elements in the Cancun agreement were firmly in draft and agreed well before Cancun, so as to avoid what too many journalists have tediously and obviously described as a “Mexican stand-off”.

It is precisely because of all this massive and expensive preparation that the note by the Chairman, whose main points are summarized above, may well reflect what is finally decided and announced here in a couple of days’ time. The Chairman is not simply guessing: this Note reflects what the Secretariat now confidently expects to get away with.

However, following the Copenhagen disaster, our grim future New Masters are taking no chances. They persuaded their friends in the mainstream news media, who cannot now easily back out of their original declarations of blind faith in the Church of “Global Warming” and are as anxious not to lose face as the Secretariat is, to put it about that at Cancun this year and even at Durban next year very little of substance will occur.

The intention is that, after not one but two international climate conferences, the second of them in Rio in 2012 on the 20th university of the Earth Summit that began it all, the Secretariat will have become so wealthy and will have accreted so much power to itself that no one – not even the US Senate – will dare to resist ratifying the Treaty of Rio that brings democracy to an end worldwide and fulfils Lord Mandelson’s recent statement that “we are now living in a post-democratic age.”

Over my dead body. The people know best what is best for the people. The governing class no doubt knows what is best for the governing class, but does not necessarily know what is best for the people, and must always be kept in check by the ballot-box.

If we are to have a world government at all (and, as the science of “global warming” alarm continues to collapse, the current pretext for world domination by a privileged few is wearing more than a little thin), then it is essential that the world government should be an elected government, and that, as Article 1, Section 1 of the US Constitution makes plain when it grants

“All legislative power” to the elected Congress and to the now-elected Senate, none shall make laws for the world or impose taxes upon the world except those whom the people of the world have elected by universal secret ballot.

How can we, the people, defeat the Secretariat and keep the democracy we love? Simply by informing our elected representatives of the scope, ambition, and detail of what is in the Cancun agreement. The agreement will not be called a “Treaty”, because the Senate, particularly after the mid-term elections, will not pass it. But it can still be imposed upon us by the heavily Left-leaning Supreme Court, which no longer makes any pretence at judicial impartiality and may well decide, even if Congress does not, that the Cancun agreement shall stand part of US law on the ground that it is “customary international law”.

What to do? Send this blog posting to your legislators. It is their power, as well as yours, that is being taken away; their democracy, as well as yours, that will perish from the Earth unless this burgeoning nonsense is stopped.
